A frequently-asked query:
I am looking for reliable web-site hosting companies who charge a yearly fee of around £25 () to host around 10 domains. I am currently own over 30 websites spread across 4 different servers, each with a different company. I am only completely happy with one of those companies as it is the only one which has truly provided at the claimed 99.9% up-time together with excellent customer service.
Has anyone else has came across any other companies offering a similar level of service.

Answer: You are not alone. Many affordable hosting is plagued with inflexibility on their resource limits and haunted by unprofessional support. Web hosting is the heart of your web presence and can mean the start or the end of your business.
Before we give you an absolute answer, these are seven qualities to look for in a good web hosting. An excellent hosting:
- does not suspend accounts easily like other cheap hosting,
- gives more-than-enough storage,
- offers unlimited bandwidth,
- gives unlimited add-on domains,
- has easy-to-use Site Builder with thousands of unique templates,
- has QuickInstall to quickly install apps like WordPress, Joomla, Drupal, OSCommerce, ZenCart and more
- can be easily upgraded to VPS or one of the best dedicated server plans if and when your business require.

Hostgator Complaints
No web hosting service is perfect. Some complaints about Hostgator plans include:
- No free domain name included – but you can easily get a domain name from the best domain registrar such as Godaddy or Namecheap for $10 or less. Would you agree that a website is not complete without a domain name?
- You need to pay full price after your first invoice – well, they need to make money too and all the support and great service do come with a cost. It is like they say, you get what you pay for.
If you are still not sure if HG is right for you, or you have specific query about anything at all, try the Live Chat at HG. They are fast and knowledgeable. Just ask and you shall receive.

You should avoid hosts that offer "unlimited" space/bandwidth as this is somewhat of a scam. You should also avoid hosts that offer ridiculous amounts of space/bandwidth, such as 10GB space for only $5/month. Hosts like this overload and oversell servers, and are bad news for anyone who wants reliability.
You should also avoid answers here that send you to review sites, as those sites make money off commissions and rank hosts based on how much money they’ll get paid, not on how good they are. You should avoid answers here that look like they are affiliate links as well, for the same reason.
Hostamina.com is exactly what you need (if you don’t mind paying a little more). Support is great and up-time is great! Note that I am not using an affiliate link or sending you to a review site.

I host over 20 sites with Dreamhost http://www.dreamhost.com but they are pricier than that even with a promo code ($69.40/year +3 free domains with the PLATINUM promo code). They’ve been great so far. I’ve been using them over 2 years now. No phone support, but email/ticket support is perfect. I had to use it just 2 times so far, and both times have received responses and had the problem resolved in less than 5 minutes. As for the quality for the price they’re great. You won’t find better shared hosting for this price!
There are better hosts, but they are much more expensive:
http://www.slicehost.com It’s a VPS host, and prices start at $20/month, but you can do whatever you want with it, like install Ubuntu on your slice and customize it however you want. Or you could go with http://www.mediatemple.com it’s like shared hosting but much higher quality. Their plans also start at $20/month.
These are not that expensive if you would switch all your sites from your 4 different hosts to one of these. I recommend Slicehost.

If you are serious about websites either for personal or your business, don’t go to free web hosting as they are usually not reliable and you may end up losing all your hard work. Free web hosts usually put advertisements on your websites and it could be annoying.
If you like to create websites (usually you will end up more than 1 website, I got more than 100 websites in about 6 months’ time), go for multiple web hosting services where you could host all your websites in one account.
I would like to suggest following webhosting which I use, they are excellent.
Hostmonster http://www.hostmonster.com/track/ryukenden/
They offer hosting of "unlimited domains" and you will get massive webspace of 1500000 MB (1500 GB ). They only charge $5.95/month and they offer "a free Domain Name" and installing service called "Fantastico". By using Fantastico, you could create own forum, photo gallery, shopping cart (e-commerce),your own auction site and your own blogs within few seconds. They also offer "Free Website Builder" as well.
