A frequently-asked query:
I want to be able to design a semi-professional website and iWeb seems to be an affordable way to do it.
I saw that both iWork and .Mac seem to offer iWeb.
My main concern that after I create a website using iWeb, I’ll be able to host it with someone – Rogers or another company other than Bell.
I see myself using some of the programs in iWork – I am using a PowerBook G4 right now with Tiger, so I have older versions of GarageBand and iPhoto for instance.
.Mac accounts seem like a bit of a rip off to me…
thanks for your opinions

You don’t need .Mac to use iWeb.
You can build your site with iWeb, publish your site to a folder located on your Mac. Then you’d just upload that folder to your web site using ftp, ssh or some other method provided by your web host.
