A affordable website hosting question:
I need a web hosting that is reliable and good. I’ve had a really bad experience with some russian hosing and now I want something RELIABLE, something that works. I need it for a personal website / gallery – so I do not need a lot of webspace or traffic. So I’m looking for a good company that has a plan for a small business / personal site.
Please don’t just google and paste links, I need some suggestions based on your experience
Also, If you know a good and reliable and affordable domain registration providers, please let me know
Thanks very much!

There are two web hosts I would recommend to clients – one free and one for fee. I’ll start with the free one first. Microsoft Office Live Small Business – http://tinyurl.com/officelive is a free service from Microsoft targeted at small businesses, but works very well for other sites such as personal sites, clubs, etc. It’s from a big name (Microsoft) so you know you can trust it. You can upload your own HTML very easily using its web folder – drag and drop. It has no ads and has 500mb of web space. MS is giving a free domain name for the 1st year (you can still have a subdomain to use if you dont want the domain).
Easiest way to create a free website is with Microsoft OffiThe for fee one I recommned to clients is Netfirms – http://moourl.com/k5jgt . It’s very reliable and they have been in business for a long time with a broad customer base. Slight more expensive than others, but you get quality in return (both uptime and customer support). Many places say they offer unlimited bandwidth and diskspace – that’s just a marketing trick and no way they can actually fulfill that promise.
