A frequently-asked query:
I personally know about three different people (friends) who offer web hosting services, but I’m not sure about giving them my money because… I hate to say it… they have no reputation, so I’m a little wary. I think I’d rather go with a reputable hosting company. Where can I find affordable web hosting companies that aren’t "fly by night" companies? Thanks in advance.
Answer: Getting a web hosting provider may make or break your business online. You are right in your decision to look for a reputable web hosting company.
But before we suggest the best domain host for you, let us review the 7 factors to look for in a good web hosting. An excellent hosting:
- gives more-than-enough diskspace,
- offers unlimited bandwidth,
- gives unlimited add-on domains,
- has easy-to-use Site Builder,
- has QuickInstall to quickly install apps like WordPress, Joomla, Drupal, OSCommerce, ZenCart and more

Who Should Not Try Hostgator
To be honest, no web hosting service is perfect. Drawback of Hostgator includes:
- No free domain name – but you can easily get a domain name from the best domain registrar such as Godaddy or Namecheap for $10 or less. Would you agree that a website is not complete without a domain name?
- You need to pay full price after your first invoice – well, they need to make money too and all the support and great service do come with a cost

My friend found a REALLY GOOD company that gives him unlimited storage and bandwith, plus a domain and unlimited subdomains for a quite low price. Sadly, I forgot who they are. I’ll ask him and when I get it, I’ll tell you.

It depends on what you call affordable. If you can spend $5/month, there are MANY reputable hosting companies you can use. (I’ve been with GoDaddy for years, and have no complaints.)

I like to use Bluehost. They have been around since 1996 and offer reliable web hosting at $3.95 per month. That is awesome

http://www.hostingscorecard.com actually rates hosting companies by their online reputation. The hosts are all rated based on a minimum of 1000 independent user reviews and comments over the last 6 months.
There are no "fly by night" hosts on the list.

Well , there is hostgator , google host yahoo and godaddy.
But the most recommended and best web host so far is http://www.NetworkJuiceHosting.com ; Network Juice.
They now offer plans starting around $0.99/mo for a great amount of diskspace plus everything else unlimited. Plus they’ve manage to keep up 99% Uptime.
They have all features such as PHP5, java ,Cpanel , Fantastico ( allows you to auto install Blogging systems and CMS portals without wasting time) , Cron Job , Apache ,Unlimited Dadabase , ftp accounts and much more. Basically EVERYTHING! is supported.
There are other affordable plans as well in NetworkJuiceHosting.com.
Hostgator.com is also a great host , but there Uptime time is not so good. Also , customer service is very poor , Not to many features are supported.
Google.com not so sure , But i know there’s lots of files they do not support , no Cpanel , and i don’t know how come , but they have been receiving downtimes lately in their host servers.
yahoo , let me just say it’s the worst web host ever ,you can’t even host the amount of domains you want to host . Including FatCow.com. The downtime is way to much , and many files are un-compatible in fatcow for some reason.
To buy a domain , the most recommended site is godaddy , but not for it’s hosting!! I Tell you !!!.
For a Great Affordable web host with maximum features , the most recommended web host is http://www.NetworkJuiceHosting.com . ; Network Juice Hosting.
You are getting your answers from an expert , and yes I have tried all these web host.
That’s all I got to say mate 😉

For hosting I am using http://www.domainstrade.net
I will not write too much about it’s best quality and best service but would just simply say that I myself am happily enjoying their services since last 4 years for my several websites all hosted on one single account

I am currently using HostGator:
http://bacgroupinc.com/recommends/hostgator.htm
I have what they call the "Baby" account which for 7.95/month you get unlimited domains – which means you can add other blogs or websites without any additional hosting costs, just get another domain name and install your site or blog. Easy WordPress blog install with just a few clicks.
Another well respected host is bluehost:
http://bacgroupinc.com/recommends/bluehost.htm
When considering paid hosting don’t just look at the price and features like disk space and bandwidth. These are important but one of the most important things to consider is the quality of the technical support and it’s availability. Both HostGator and bluehost have excellent 24/7 support. And if you Google around for what many Internet marketers are using you’ll find these two mentioned often. IMs can’t afford site down time and rookie tech support or support that’s off for the weekend.
Hope that helps.

Most of the "Name brand" hosts are good. Some people prefer one over the other for whatever reason, but in truth they are all very similar in features and service.
I like to check out REAL user reviews to see who people are happiest with. The best deal i am seeing is I believe 3.95 a month, they have a good reputation as well, and an anytime money back guarantee.

I like to use fivebean hosting, I find some information of them here: http://www.squidoo.com/greathost, they are amazing because they have amazing prices, a nice interface, they are easy to use, and very reliable. Although they are somewhat new in the hosting business, it seems that they are doing things right. Their cheapest plan starts at $1.02 a month, and includes 5gb disk, 50gb bandwidth! try it
