A frequently-asked problem:
Ive looked around at a lot of web hosting businesses and even use some of them. They’re good and all, but I have no use for 99% of the tools and services that Im probably paying extra for. I do everything either by hand in raw code, or through Dreamweaver. All I do is buy my domain and never do a thing with there site again, except pay them….
Is there hosting out there that’s reliable, offers my own domain name registration in the www.mydomain.com format, no bells and whistles, and more affordable. Can anyone help me?
Answer: It is not your fault you are confused. Finding a web host should not be so complicated. Web hosting is the heart of your business and can mean the success and failure for your business.
To answer your query, here are 7 qualities to look for in a good web hosting. An excellent hosting:
- has at least 30 days money back guarantee,
- gives unlimited webspace,
- offers no limit on bandwidth,
- gives multiple add-on domains,
- has friendly Site Builder with thousands of unique templates,
- has QuickInstall to quickly install apps like WordPress, Joomla, Drupal, OSCommerce, ZenCart and more
- can be easily upgraded to VPS or one of the best dedicated server plans if and when your business require.

Hostgator Complaints
No web hosting service is perfect. Some complaints about Hostgator plans include:
- No free domain name included – but you can easily get a domain name from the best domain registrar such as Godaddy or Namecheap for $10 or less. Would you agree that a website is not complete without a domain name?
- You need to pay full price after your first invoice – well, they need to make money too and all the support and great service do come with a cost. It is like they say, you get what you pay for.
If you are still not sure if HG is right for you, or you have specific query about anything at all, try the Live Chat at HG. They are fast and knowledgeable. Just ask and you shall receive.

I think any decent domain name provider that doesn’t include a tonne of additional extra’s, are not worth the time. You generally get what you pay for, and anything too good to be true… normally is.
I’d suggest you use a respected company, but stick with the most basic packages. Bigger companies can normally offer better rates, and better support; rather than an independent/small company.
1and1 are a pretty reliable company. I use them all the time, and are very reasonable with great support.

Try GoDaddy. I have been using it for years and it has never failed me. For more details try to look at http://www.hostingtopic.com/godaddy-web-hosting-sucks/
GoDaddy does what a hosting company should do. That is, GoDaddy actually answers their phones, replies to their emails, responds to live chat requests, doesn’t rip you off, and provides quality hosting. It is not only one of the best domain registration companies, but also one of the largest web hosting companies and with one of the best ecommerce hosting plans in the market today.
